My condolences go out the the Jim Rohn family, friends, and fans. Jim Rohn was an influence in my growth as a business man and man. His teachings are world renowned and I thought you might like a small sampling of his wisdom. Please watch the video above.
I know that the love of money is the root of all evil. But we need money. Making more money does not make you a good person, or a bad person; it simply accentuates the person that you already are. So if you are a bad person, more money makes you a worse person. If you are a good person, more money allows you to be a better person.
Most people don’t want to talk about money, it’s like taboo. Usually people who do not have enough money don’t like to talk about it cause most of their decisions are ruled by what they can not do because of lack of funds.
The main point that I want you to take away from this blog post is that any one can create financial wealth. It starts in you mind. Your income is not decided by the economy, or the times. It is created by what you think and expect about money.
Anyone and everyone can become rich. It took some time for me to change my thinking. I was raised by a blue collar father (no offense to hard working men and women) and I myself was a truck driver for 18 years.
It was not the job that handcuffed me, it was the mindset of Teamster protection, security, no risk, and strength in numbers. I tried to lie to myself that I was ok and I would start living after I retired. Well most of you know what happens to people who retire.
They die 3-4 years after they retire. That’s because they have nothing to live for. Nothing to challenge them, nothing to force them to grow. Either you are growing or you are dying.
So only 8 years after walking away from the saftey net of UPS, and taking a 100% commission job as a fitness trainer, I can truly say I am alive. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning everyday as I jump out of bed and “Get to go” do what I love.
I was once told that if you do what you love, the money will come and you will never work a day in your life. That is truly what I am experiencing.
I have to be honest with you, it is not as easy as some people may make it sound. It is a lot of blood, sweat, and tears. But it is worth it. I, at the age of 44, feel like a kid. I feel and look younger than ever before. Being young or old is not a chronological thing. It is a “Do you feel that your best days are in front of you; or behind you. If you feel that your best days (health and fitness, money, relationships) are in front of you; then you will fell young. Even into your 70′s, 80′s, 90′s and 100.
Conversely, you can feel old and that your life is not worth going forward at 30. In fact I have had 30 year old acquantances take their own life and I have had 60 year old clients save their own life with their thoughts. For a past blog post of one of my clients who saved his own life with our Fatloss Lifestyle System click here;

I know that you do have the power to stand up and take control of your Body, lifestyle, and life with a well thought out plan of attack. I would for you to comment below. Tell me your age and if you think you have accomplished everything you are capable of. Or if you think your best days are in front of you. THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS; CHOOSE THE GOOD ONES.

Hey Darin,
I am also 44 years old. Last year I changed my approach to fitness and have begun to transform, but I am not where I want to be. I feel that I do have alot more to accomplish in the years to come. I feel that I can help train people to better lives through fitness, but I’m not sure I can do that until I get myself totally in shape so I can say “do as I do” and show them how.
