Your vision for your life will become “crystal clear” only when you look into your own heart; He who looks outside, dreams. He who looks within; awakes!!

Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out

Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending

IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GO ALL THE WAY; THEN WHY GO AT ALL?

Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.

TO KNOW; & NOT YET DO; IS TO NOT YET KNOW

The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more in life there is to celebrate!

One of the most brilliant minds that ever lived, Albert Einstein, said, “Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted.

Adulthood is defined by the willingness to accept full responsibility for where you are at in life; no longer blaming others or circumstances.”

Take chances, make mistakes. That’s how you grow. Pain nourishes your courage. You have to fail in order to practice being brave.”

• GOOD DECISIONS COME FROM WISDOM
• WISDOM COMES FROM EXPERIENCE
• EXPERIENCE COMES FROM MAKING BAD DECISIONS

WE WOULD RATHER BE RUINED BY PRAISE; RATHER THAN SAVED BY CRITICISM

THE #1 ABILITY IS RESPONSIBILITY
• NEVER SAY I CAN’T
• SAY I WON’T
• YOU ARE IN CONTROL

ALWAYS AVOID SAYING NEGAGATIVE THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF IN THE PRESENT OR FUTURE TENSE. THIS IS NOT LYING BECAUSE ALL YOUR FAILURES HAVE BEEN IN THE PAST. FORGET THE PAST, FOCUS OPTIMISTICALLY ON THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE!!

• Stand Guard, be careful who you hang around, what you read, what you listen to, what you watch

• Because the above will influence your thoughts; Garbage in, garbage out

• Your thoughts will become words

• Your words become actions

• Your actions become habits

• Your habits become character

• Your character becomes your destiny

• What direction are you headed? We need to be aware!

Success must be attracted, not pursued. Personal value is the magnet that attracts all good things into our lives. The greater our value, the greater our rewards, Since the solution for having more is becoming more, we must be in constant search for new ways to increase our value. It is the acquisition of more value that we must pursue, not more valuables.

Success in anything is largely due to those who can hold on longest while the others let go.

Virtue (Latin virtus; Greek ἀρετή) is moral excellence of a person. A virtue is a character trait valued as being good. The conceptual opposite of virtue is vice.
According to its etymology the word virtue (Latin virtus) signifies manliness or courage. Taken in its widest sense virtue means the excellence of perfection of a thing, just as vice, its contrary, denotes a defect or absence of perfection due to a thing. In its strictest meaning, however, as used by moral philosophers and theologians, virtue is an operative habit essentially good, as distinguished from vice, an operative habit essentially evil. The four cardinal (hinge) virtues are Justice, Courage, Wisdom, and Moderation. These were enumerated by the Greek philosophers. The three supernatural virtues of Faith, Hope and (unselfish) Love are part of the Christian tradition. Both the natural and supernatural virtues depend on a person’s understanding that truth can be discovered. Modernist views are at odds with this idea.

“Happiness depends upon the quality of your thoughts. Entertain no notions unsuitable to virtue and reasonable nature.”
Marcus Aurelius Marcus Aurelius
121-180, Roman Emperor

The greatest good you can do for another is not just to share your riches, but to reveal to him his own.”

Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.”

Be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. Talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet. Make all your friends feel there is something special in them. Look at the sunny side of everything. Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best. Be as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give everyone a smile. Spend so much time improving yourself that you have no time left to criticize others. Be too big for worry and too noble for anger.

If you sow, you shall reap. If you don’t sow you shall weep.

The level of thinking that has gotten us to where we are is not what’s going to get us to where we want to go. — Albert Einstein

We always need to grow, or we die. A content man is a dead man.

If we are not getting to where we want to go, it is not for a lack of resources, it is a lack of resource-fullness. Everything we need to live our dreams is right around us. Let’s break out of our daze and recognize them and use them.

I should work-out, I should focus on my relationships at home, I should eat better, I should drink less alcohol. Come on people, stop shoulding all over yourselves. Most of us are lying (or have lied) to ourselves in the past. We need to communicate better with the number one most important person, OURSELVES!!

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO ACHIEVE BEYOND OUR COMMITMENT TO GROW

LOSERS FOCUS ON INSTANT GRATIFICATION, WINNERS FOCUS ON HOW TO LEARN AND GROW FROM SHORT-TERM DISCOMFORT IN ORDER TO ENJOY LONG TERM RESULTS. WINNERS LIVE WITH THE OUTCOME IN MIND (DELAYED GRATIFICATION). RATHER THAN HOPING THAT ALL WILL GO WELL. WINNERS FOCUS MORE ON CHARACTER AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT THAN ON THEIR COMFORT AND ENTERTAINMENT. THE REASON IS BECAUSE WE DO NOT ATTRACT WHAT WE WANT IN LIFE; WE ATTRACT WHO WE ARE (LIKE ATTRACTS LIKE). BY GROWING IN OUR CHARACTER AND IN OUR PERSONAL AND SPIRITUAL LIVES, WE WILL NATURALLY ATTRACT A FUTURE OF PLEASURE AND PURPOSE

QUOTES FROM CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL:

I found these in a book I was looking through called “Chicken Soup for the Dieters soul” and thought you could use them if you have not already. If you want to toss, no problem either.

This life is yours: Take the power to choose what you want to do and do it well. Take the power to love what you want in life and love it honestly. Trials, temptations, disappointments – all these are helps instead of hindrances, if one uses them rightly. They not only test the fiber of character but strenthen it. Are you successful? Are you happy?
If success is strictly viewed as getting what you want, then Americans and most others in industrialized societies can certainly be viewed as successful. Yet, when viewing happiness as wanting what you get, then it would appear that we came to a proverbial fork in the road and didn’t take it!

“The law of attraction says that you are a living magnet, and you inevitably attract into your life the people, circumstances, ideas, and resources in harmony with your dominant thoughts. You cannot teach what you haven’t already done yourself
Be open to everything and attached to nothing
Don’t die with your music still in you

Fall down six times, get up seven
Every low precedes an all-new high
Every adversity contains the seed of greater or equal benefit
You become what you think about
Thoughts are the cause, behaviors are the effect
You move towards what you focus on
Where attention goes, energy flows
Motion creates emotion
Whatever your mind can conceive and believe it can achieve
All growth takes place outside your comfort zone
The pain of every change is forgotten when the benefits of that change are realized
You can’t get something for nothing
The best way to get started is to get started
No one ever drowned in sweat
If you don’t have control over it, then why worry about it
If you do have control over it, then why worry about it

The first key to getting what you want is knowing what you want
Think positive, but move your ass, too
Lead from the front
Walk your talk

What crown are you training for? Accolades of man or of God. We as Christians need to constantly remind ourselves that we are striving for HIS crown and this requires:
TRAINING: am I “sweating” in my relationship with Jesus? ie: my study into His Word and LIVE it.

“Your focus determines your reality – The life you’re striving for determines the life you will live.”

Happiness is a butterfly which, when pursued, is always beyond our grasp, but which, if you sit down quietly, may alight upon you. Nathaniel Hawthorne, 1804-1864
The great essentials to happiness and longevity in this life are something to do, something to love and something to hope for. We can stay young at heart forever.

Do you know what happens to wildlife when left alone from intellectual minds? It thrives, because thriving is its default setting. Just look at a forest.

And do you know what happens to wildlife when given just a little direction by intellectual minds? It still thrives, because thriving is its default setting. Just look at a rose garden.

And do you know what happens to wildlife when there is too much thinking? Yeah, what wildlife?

Same for human beings.
