Most of us would agree that the most valuable thing in our lives is our health & energy. With out it, we are going to be severely limited in our ability to be happy, productive, and prosperous.

Developing and maintaining healthy lifestyle choices is the worlds only “True Fountain of Youth”. With the information that we have about how to live a fitness lifestyle, it is not out of the question to expect to live long and strong and to remain totally independent into our 90’s and maybe even 100. And let’s take it one step further. How about we actually help others in our 80’s and 90’s instead of being a burden?

Through being passionate about peaking my own fitness to be the best I can be for the past 26 years and helping over 500 individuals (over 18,000 work-outs) do the same, I have learned a few things about what works and does not work. I have learned that peaking ones fitness is very simple but not easy. I have learned that the Three Pillars of Health & Fitness are;

I. The Foods That We Eat
II. The ExerciseThat We Get
III. The Thoughts That We Think

The #1 reason that most people do not peak their Health & Fitness is because there is too much information now about fat loss, fitness, and healthy lifestyles. Just punch in the term fat loss in Google search. There are almost 6 million sites to tell you how to get in great shape. Talk about being confused.

The top 4 reasons why the majority of people do not peak their health and fitness today;

• Not sticking with one specific plan of action on resistance training, cardio vascular training, nutrition, and goal setting. They do not follow through for 12 weeks. They never learn what works and does not work for them
• Having tried in the past with no results
• Paralysis by analysis; having too much information is not good
• Not harvesting the power of deadlines
• Lying to themselves about how they look, how they feel, and the quality of their lives

What most people that have not experienced healthbefore don’t know is that getting in great shape is about much more than just fitting into a smaller pair of blue jeans. It’s about being fully engaged and having real energy. It’s about being more productive and energetic through out the day. It’s about having a radiant attitude, and strong aura if you will; that draws more positive back too you. It’s about being more clear headed and recognizing the opportunities that are all around. It’s about working hard all day and pulling in the driveway at the end of a day and having real energy and excitement for the most important people in your life.

It’s about having endorphins and anabolic hormones released that give your body the ability to heal itself and boost your immune system. It’s about being more genuinely positive. Maybe it’s a mindset that the best days are in front of you in all the major areas of your life; your body, your relationships (with God, yourself, family, friends and even strangers), your money / business / finances.

You see, when someone gets in great shape through a well thought out proven, time efficient fitness program, the quality of their life explodes.

It seems that people that are now in their 50’s, 60’s and 70’s are falling apart. Between my mother and father and their siblings there were 17 kids. Out of the 17 kids (ranging in age from 48-73; one is deceased and 14 or 15 are either in and out of nursing homes, or are on several medications, and have had 1-3 major health complications; including heart attack, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure, and emphysema.

It’s actually heartbreaking to me to see what is happening to the quality of their lives because of the lack of health & fitness.

I could quote many major studies that our coming to surface now. But I won’t, cause deep down in your gut, your common sense tells you that disease and illness are easily 80% lifestyle choices, and 20% genetics.

And I believe that the 20% or so that is because of genetics was caused mostly because of the poor lifestyle choices and mentality of our past generations. So let’s do our kids a favor. Let’s become as healthy as we can and thus pass that ability on to our future generations by leading by example.

I absolutely know that it is possible to become stronger, leaner, healthier, and more fullfilled by focusing on a proven fitness program that takes 3 or 4 hours of exercise per week. I do it and have seen 100’s of people do it. So what’s really cool is that you do have enough time to exercise cause you will gain an extra 2-4 hours of productivity to your day with more real energy and focus power. So that is a gain of about 24 hours per week. Exercise will give you back at least 24 hours per week.

My advice to you is, go out and find someone who has what you want. Use them as a role model. Think of your exercise program, your nutrition (eat for purpose, not for pleasure), your mindset as not a 12 week system or a diet, but a lifestyle.

Remember, you will turn into you hand around. So choose your friends wisely. I am here to tell you that the human body has an incredible ability to become healthy when you give it the right raw materials. It is never too late. I have seen people in their 60’s and 70’s totally turn everything around in 12 weeks (84 days).

But it starts in the mind; garbage in, garbage out. Good thoughts in, good nutrition in, and effective resistance training and interval cardio training and good energy out.
